02The founder

It started on the pitch, with kids who hadn’t eaten.

Growing up, Joseph Owen was often out of school for lack of fees, and many days he went from morning to evening without a meal. Hunger made it hard to concentrate, and sometimes impossible to go to school at all.

Coaching children aged 5 to 16, he saw the same thing happening to almost all of them, and decided to build a bridge: find resources to keep them in school and give them access to nutritious food.

2021 Founded in Nairobi

So in 2021, together with friends, he formed an organisation to help less privileged children and change the status quo with three powerful tools: food, school and football.

04The programs

Every pillar became a program.

Six programs that meet children where they are: in class, on the pitch, on the street and during the holidays.

01 Feed

School Feeding Program

Nutritious meals for children in our partner schools and at training sessions. Since we started, attendance has gone up and pupils concentrate better in class.

Education Support

We sponsor financially needy children so they can stay in school. We currently support 10 pupils.

03 Play

Feeducate Football Club

Our club trains children aged 6 to 16, keeping them away from drugs and crime, and uses every session to feed them and support their education.

Holiday Life-skills Bootcamp

Every school holiday: free tuition, meals, life-skills training with partners like the 1:11 Project and VirtueUs Investments, sports and craft skills. Everyone is certified.
